Position Summary
Freedom Federal Credit Union is in search of a President/CEO with a proven track record of success to lead and provide a strategic vision for the future of the credit union. This executive will direct the overall operations of the credit union to ensure financial stability while maintaining the best interests of the members. The incoming President/CEO will establish short-term and long-range objectives, plans, and policies in accordance with the Board of Directors and will continue the solid legacy of the credit union’s success. The ideal candidate will bring leadership experience driven by member value and the ability to build on success. This position requires compelling business instincts, effective communication towards staff and members, and extraordinary management skills. The CEO will require a high level of personal integrity, a superior understanding of the financial industry, and the credit union industry in order to provide first class member service. Candidates must have a minimum of seven to ten years of financial services experience in a senior level position or CEO role, preferably within the credit union industry. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution is required, advanced degree desired.

Freedom Federal Credit Union opened in 1953 as MATCOM Federal Credit Union to serve the military and civilian employees of the Chemical Corps Material Command located in Edgewood, Maryland in Harford County. In 2000, they changed their name to Freedom Federal Credit Union.
